  • •250 g cabbage
  • •3 tbsp margarine
  • •A little oil
  • •2 cups beef stock
  • •8 banana peppers
  • •Salt, black pepper
  • •100 g white cheese
  • •100 g cream
  • •1-2 stalks spring onion

Preparation

  1. 1

Cut the cabbage into very thin strips. Boil in salted water about 20 minutes and drain. Peel and dice one onion; peel and slice the other.

Melt 2 tbsp margarine in a pot and lightly sauté the diced onion. Add the cabbage, season with salt and pepper and sauté in the pot 20 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 175°C. Grease an ovenproof dish. In a pot melt the rest of the margarine and sauté the sliced onion. Add the stock and cook briefly.

  4. 4

Wash the peppers, halve lengthwise and seed them.

  5. 5

Mash the cheese with a fork and add to the cabbage mixture.

  6. 6

Salt the insides of the peppers, fill with the cabbage mixture and place in the dish. Add the stock and bake 20-30 minutes. Whip the cream and season with salt and pepper. Slice the spring onions into rings. Garnish with the cream and spring onion and serve.
